SoulCollage®

Discover your wisdom. Change your world.™

Anyone can do SoulCollage®

SoulCollage® is an expressive arts practice done individually or in community.

SoulCollage® begins as simple creative fun that may suddenly surprise and awaken you! Create your own deck of cards with deep personal meaning to help you with life’s questions.

SoulCollage® meets you wherever you are on this journey called life. You don’t have to be an artist to make SoulCollage® cards. Anyone can create and enjoy this powerful practice.

The method develops creativity and intuition, encourages self-discovery, and provides personal guidance.

Beginnings

Founder Seena B. Frost, M.A., M.Div. (1932-2016) developed her ideas for creating collaged cards and consulting them for self-discovery in her psychotherapy groups in the late 1980s. Her experiences revealed the transformational possibilities of the method and SoulCollage® was born.

SoulCollage® Evolving (2010), a revised, expanded edition of Seena’s first book, was published and SoulCollage® Facilitator Training programs were held. The community took root and blossomed.

“We are witnessing the re-emergence of the archetypal feminine wisdom long underrated in the world but now rising up to balance the heroic and individualistic and logical masculine wisdom. It’s time for both/and , not either/or.”

~ Seena Frost

The SoulCollage® process typically involves the following steps:

  1. Gathering Images: Participants collect a variety of images from magazines, books, or other sources. These images can be photographs, illustrations, or any visual material that resonates with them.

  2. Creating Collage Cards: Participants create a series of collage cards by selecting images that intuitively represent different aspects of themselves, their experiences, or their inner world. These cards are typically small and can be arranged and glued onto a larger card or backing.

  3. Reflecting and Journaling: Once the collage cards are created, individuals engage in a reflective and journaling process to explore the meaning and symbolism of the images they've chosen. This helps them gain insights into their thoughts, feelings, and inner truths.

  4. Dividing the Self: In SoulCollage, participants often identify various parts of themselves, such as the inner child, the shadow, or other archetypal aspects. They create cards for each of these parts, which allows them to delve into deeper self-understanding.

  5. Reading and Sharing: Some people use SoulCollage cards as tools for meditation, personal reflection, or even as a way to access their intuition. They can also be shared in a group setting to foster discussions and insights among participants.

SoulCollage is often seen as a therapeutic and spiritual practice that can help individuals connect with their inner selves, gain clarity, and work through personal issues. It's a flexible and highly personal process that can be adapted to suit the needs and goals of the individuals engaging in it.
